And there’s ongoing work: the web keeps changing, and with every update your site needs small adjustments to keep working.
Your maintenance fee covers both, so you never have to think about it. That’s how we keep our promise: a website that just works.
Maintenance starts the day your website goes live, and is billed per quarter (every 3 months).

Yes! At Laken Web Works we have a dedicated in-house digital artist. The possibilities are endless! But don’t worry, we don’t charge extra for a simple logo.
// Why are your prices “from” prices?
Pricing a website upfront is tricky, and honestly, we don’t love offering a “from” price either.
What it costs us to build, host, and maintain a site depends on the details of your project. For example, a domain like this one (lakenwebworks.com) costs less to obtain than a shorter, more popular one.
In most cases, the price shown here is the price you’ll pay. If your project does end up above it, we’ll explain exactly why upfront, and suggest ways to help you stay within the budget you had in mind.
// What if I already have a website somewhere else?
We’ll take a look and figure out the most effective way forward: improving the site where it already lives, or migrating it over to our own workflow.
// Is the maintenance plan mandatory?
Yes, but “maintenance” undersells it. Your monthly fee also pays for the hosting your site runs on, your domain, your email address and the licenses for the plugins and security your site uses. On top of that, we keep everything up to date. The web keeps changing, and with every update your site needs small adjustments to keep working. We take care of those. That’s how we keep our promise: a website that just works.
